Team Bio:

In the 1990’s the team was started under the name of the Chiefs. The Chiefs were a dominating force through the years. Wrapping up a storybook career in 2003, the board members of the team resigned and kept their name. The team was rename The Pirates, selected as the most logical choice for back in 1996-97, Madison Heights High School was forced to surrender their school to Anderson High School in a cost cutting measure. Madison Heights High School then was forced to change mascots and the Pirates were forced out. So now, the Pirates name lives on and hopefully provide alumni of Madison Heights High School and a community a reason to hold their heads up high, and still are proud to be a Pirate.
In 2006, due to low player turnout the team was retired. Again, in 2007, an attempt to start the team was stalled after a storm sent a light pole smashing through the press box at “Danny Field” closing the field and amounting to the lost of the Pirates home field.
Then in 2008, after expressed interest from players in the area, the team was reestablished and a new home field was located in Pendleton. The Pirates have once again set sail for no less of goal then to return to former glory and win the big ‘ship.
